That's cool. I wonder if they are genuinely nicer, or if they just put on a better show...

When I worked at the hedge fund, there were a lot of super smart, nice, wonderful people who worked there too (including my boss, who I really liked) -- but there were also a lot of real jerks. I guess it's like that everywhere -- but going there from publishing (where 99% of my coworkers were pretty awesome) was a huge culture shock.
