Now that I have come out as not liking Dragon Tattoo, I am getting a lot of feedback from people I know saying they didn't like it either, or they put it down after 20 pages, etc. I find that very comforting, since all the reviews I've seen of it have been 100% positive, and I can't figure out why.

If you like crime novels, though, may I suggest Tana French? I really enjoyed her first two books (I haven't read the third yet), and the quality of the prose is extremely high.
