Fantastic post!

The person making fun of me for my vocal ouch ouch ouching at my first tattoo was my mother. Who was paying for it, as well. The tattoo artist was very nice. But moms - oy!

I was really surprised when my tattoo artist explained to me that it wasn't going to work to get the whole long text I wanted for my most recent tattoo, but I'm so glad he did say that. He was explaining how the tattoo would look over time and to keep it legible and clear, we'd need to cut it waaaaaaaaay down. Which he helped me do and now it's super awesome. And looks great.

That same tattoo I got when I was visiting my friend in Seattle - she asked her friend for recs (who had lots of tattoos) and I started asking people at my exercise class who had awesome tattoos where they got them and hoping they would say Seattle. One of the ladies at the exercise class did say Seattle! And it turns out, the exact same studio my friend in Seattle's friend rec'd to us! (Lucky Devil Tattoo parlor - highly highly highly rec'd.)
