I just finished reading Stay With Me by Garret Freymann-Weyr. I feel as though I sank into the pages, and now I have no idea how I am supposed to do anything else all day. It's definitely my favorite of her books -- it has all the things I loved about her other books, and none of the things I found troublesome. And, in fact, all the things I found troublesome are done extremely well here.

I think I have a new author for my top five! (Don't ask who is in the top five. I couldn't tell you. It's a nebulous, ephemeral list.)

So listen. My hideous roommates are moving out. I am going to be living alone for the month of February. This is the first time ever that I have lived alone. I am really excited about it. I have all these big plans for what I'm going to be doing -- mostly lying naked in the middle of the living room and singing in the kitchen and enjoying the empty space. And, of course, painting.

There are a lot of things I want to use this time to do, though -- like streamline my life. I have so much stuff that I'm overwhelmed. One of the things I want to do is start getting rid of this stuff.. Time to be more ascetic! I have a lot of size 9 or 9-1/2 shoes that I never wear. I have a lot of size 14 - 18 clothing I never look at. I have a lot of... well, stuff. Stuff.

This is the deal: if you have any interest in a surprise package of clothing, shoes, or stuff (including but not limited to packets of glitter, old data cds full of music and tv shows, books, arts and crafts supplies, random skeins of yarn, jewelry, mugs, tarot cards), leave your email address in the comments and I'll add you to an email list of people who will receive instructions. Everything is completely free. There is no catch.

(Edited to note: (1) feel free to post what you're particularly interested in when you post your email address -- whatever you can think of. If I don't have it, you'll just get a surprise.

(2) this is limited to the first 100 people, and I'll post a note when I've hit my limit. I am dubious that I have more than 100 exciting magical surprise packages in my apartment.)

Note: As of 11 AM on Thursday, there are still about 20 spots left! Come get free stuff!

I should probably add also that I'm about your size in both clothing and shoes, should you feel so inclined. But music and crafts and tarot cards are wonderful, too!

Well, it's not really generosity! I am just too lazy to put it all in bags and take it to the Goodwill. Hee.

*laughs* Whatever you choose to call it, it's fun and I admire it in you.

And as per your edit... I could certainly use a pair of shoes, size 9 1/2.

I might want some glitter and yarn and music and tv shows. I wear an 8W shoe, though.

What do the arts and crafts supplies include?

Have you found my tape of 2gether, or will you download it for me? Here's the thing: if you look on Amazon, you will see that the dvd is $175, and the VHS is about $50. But Matt still hasn't even seen the movie. This situation is completely unacceptable.

What I can't believe is that the dvd is $175. What the hell is that?

I'll find it, never fear.

I can't tell you what all the stuff is, dude. It's a SURPRISE.

I love your icon! When I was a kid, I used to play at being Black Canary, because she was Green Arrow's woman, and I had a burning passion for Green Arrow.

Oh, and I should add - shoes in that size would be too small. There's always room for clothes of that size, crafty stuff (esp yarn), and really just about anything else.

Nothing better than randomness by mail.

Anything crafty -- yarn especially, but anything crafty is good. Tarot cards. Books.

You're so fun.

Okay, I wasn't going to post. I wasn't. Really.

But then I was reading the comments and saw an icon that included Black Canary, and I knew it had to be an omen.

So I'll join the mystery package fun, please. :) Because Black Canary says I must.

I am probably too late, but I love surprises. I have also been losing weight and am now at a size that I have virtually no clothing for. (16). So if you're feeling inclined to keep me from running around butt naked. . . (joking, just joking). You have my e-mail. :)

Now that's different! I'm sure I can find something to do with it.

A friend once told me that she always buys CDs with pictures of robots on the front because they're always good.

And that's my only robot story.

Feel free to send whatever you would like! I'd LOVE to get something fun in the mail about now. We just finished packing all our furniture out of the house today in preparation for new carpeting. But that means SOON--soon we'll be living in our house again! Woo! You know the email and the addy, so go wild. :)

I'd go for some shoes. I take 9 and 9 1/2, so any of them would rule. :D I also knit (BIG TIME). Tarot rules, too. :)

Or whatever else you have that you are sharing. :D :D :D

Um, I know I don't comment much, (and that my husband will kill me for collecting yet more stuff - I'm a stuff-a-holic as well) but I'd be fascinated to see some of your sparkly stuff.

I'm interested in tarot cards (or, well, my daughter would be), arts and crafts stuff, music, yarn, books, jewelry... and I just asked my daughter and she wears a 9 to 9.5 shoe, so maybe even shoes. (She's 14, so nothing too racy?)

I'm i_am_stasia@yahoo.com. If I'm asking for too much, I'm very sorry.

This is such a long shot. If you have to get rid of any Tor Romances that would be great. I love Patricia Waddell, Susan Kearny, Elizabeth Vaughan, Patricia Simpson... I have all of Susan Kearny's books... and Elizabeth's and both of the Patricia's books. So.. wait...I guess I don't need too many Tor Romances haha. Maybe ones that will be out in like 2008 to 2010... yeah... that's it :O).

Thanks Anna for making a boring January a ton of fun! I love the book you sent me for the last giveaway.

More books are always welcome, plus jewelery, whatever's going.
